SPWS Board members and staff celebrated republic day on 26th January 2022. Our society secretary, Mr. H. Prabhakar, garlanded the picture of Mahatma Gandhi and hoisted the national flag and gave message on India’s independence. After the message he broke the coconuts and distributed sweets to the staff.
On 17th December 2021, SPWS organised Christmas celebrations in the office. SPWS team gathered in the office and decorated with crib to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ. Rev. Fr. Kamal and Chief Executive of Jeevadhara Program of SPWS, Ms. Saritha Mendanha inaugurated the crib and gave message on Christmas. Then, we cut cake along with our Board members and concluded the program with dinner.
On the same day, two of the SPWS staff, our beloved Dr. Mr. Sathyanarayana, our medical practitioner and Dermatologist, and our attender, Mr. Venkatanarsu, were appreciated and felicitated for their retirement that year. Both the staff members have served SPWS since its inception in 2005 and have worked very closely with the founder, Fr. Antonio Grugni, taking him as an inspiration. They have done profound work with the leprosy and TB patients and have been a strong pillar of support to SPWS always. The Board members and staff wished them heartily and bid a sad farewell to them with a promise that they will continue to serve voluntarily with the society.
Christmas celebrations were also held at Jeevadhara Sponsorship Program Office at Boduppal on 21 December 2021.
On 15th August 2021, we celebrated Independence Day with the scholarship students and their parents. The flag was hoisted by the Board members in the presence of staff, scholarship students and their families.
